PRINCETON - Closing arguments have begun in the retrial of the Montcalm man accused of multiple sexual-related offenses with children.

John Spaulding, 41, is accused of sexual assault and sexual abuse of children. He also faces 50 counts of possession of child pornography. Prosecutors say the two female victims were 14 and three years old at the time of the alleged incidents in 2012.

Multiple expert witnesses for the defense testified about their analysis of the child victims, as well as assessment of the defendant before and after these accusations arose. Spaulding himself testified Wednesday.

The defense rested Thursday and closing arguments began after deliberation instructions were read to the jury.
