UPDATE: Both lanes of Rt. 39 around Belva open again

UPDATE:

BELVA - A portion of a roadway in Fayette County is open again following a landslide.

Dispatchers said the call came in around 7:40 p.m. Monday of the landslide on Route 39. Division of Highways (DOH) officials said it happened in the Belva area.

Both lanes were temporarily blocked as DOH crews did traffic control and cleared the area.

Dispatchers said the roadway has since been re-opened.

BELVA - A portion of a roadway in Fayette County is temporarily closed Tuesday due to a landslide.

Dispatchers said the call came in at 7:42 p.m. Monday of the landslide on Route 39. Division of Highways (DOH) officials said it happened in the Belva area. Both lanes are blocked and DOH is on-scene doing traffic control.

DOH officials are asking the public to avoid the area if possible until further notice. Drivers are being detoured to Cannelton Holler Road.

BROWNSVILLE - A portion of a roadway in Fayette County is closed Tuesday morning due to a landslide.

Dispatchers said the call came in at 7:42 p.m. Monday of the landslide on Route 39 around Brownsville. Both lanes are blocked and the Division of Highways is on-scene doing traffic control.
