UPDATE: Police looking for two suspects

UPDATE:

RAVEN - Police in Tazewell County need your helping identifying two suspects who allegedly broke into an Elementary school.

Sheriff Brian Hieatt says employees at Raven Elementary School reported the school had been broken into around 6am Monday. Deputies responded, and a security check was done throughout the school.

Detectives obtained video footage from the school's camera. The video shows two subjects inside of the school building during the early hours of the morning. It appears that after breaking out a window in the back of the building the suspects went through the building and broke into offices and vending machines. Money and other items are now missing from the building.

The Tazewell County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone who may have information concerning these crimes to please contact Detective Taylor Quillen at 276-988-1169

RAVEN - An elementary school in Tazewell County is temporarily closed Monday as authorities investigate a reported breaking and entering.

Sheriff Brian Hieatt said students and faculty of Raven Elementary School are safe and there are no threats to any person. He said staff reported the incident to authorities around 6 a.m. Monday.

Deputies and a tracking dog are at the school, according to Hieatt, and students and staff have been diverted to Richlands Middle School while detectives process the scene.
