Late-season storm boosts W.Va. ski resorts

Local - 3/17/2014 10:23 AM
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia's ski resorts are getting a boost from the latest winter storm.
West Virginia Ski Areas Association spokesman Joe Stevens says the storm has created the best skiing conditions this late in the season in several years.
As of Monday morning, Stevens says Snowshoe Mountain, Canaan Valley and Timberline each have received about 8 inches of snow.
He says Snowshoe plans to continue ski season through the first weekend of April. The other resorts are re-evaluating their plans but will be operating at least through the weekend.
