MT. NEBO – The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Nicholas County draws a nice crowd on a beautiful day.
The parade in Mt. Nebo is sponsored by The Grand Order of the Royal Leprechauns. The group works to give back to the community with scholarships, events, and other donations.
Area businesses, schools, and organizations created floats and rode around in classic cars.
Tossing candy out of the windows was a crowd favorite.
“We came out to get some candy and see the horses and the tractors! Having a lot of fun!” said a local Summersville woman with her kids.
“Just watching the parade, taking it in, and letting the kids enjoy the sunshine and the parade,” said another local man.
Trophies are awarded for best livestock entry, best tractor, and best St. Patrick's Day theme.
