BECKLEY - The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office is conducting increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints this month.

The focus of these patrols will be to identify impaired drives under the influence of alcohol and drugs, according to deputies. Officers will also be looking for revoked licenses, suspended drivers and any traffic safety violations.

This grant is awarded through the West Virginia Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
