BECKLEY - The Beckley Ministerial Association continues holding prayer services during lent to walk church goers through the ‘Stations of the Cross’.
Saint Francis De Sales, along with many other denominations involved with the Beckley Ministerial Association, holds special masses or church services during Lent. Deacon Jay Ziolkowski said that this time is focused on walking people through what Jesus went through on his way to the cross.
Prayers and songs are also incorporated to the message. This devotion can be done on your own time, but these services allow the community to come together and remember what Lent is all about.
“It's primarily a personal devotion, but during lent we have a prayer service every Friday for people to come as a community,” said Ziolkowski.
Deacon Ziolkowski said anyone and everyone is invited to attend these services and join in the devotions and prayers.
