Gas prices steady in W.Va.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Gas prices held steady over the past week in West Virginia.

AAA East Central says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the state was about $3.55. That's down about 19 cents per gallon compared with the same week a year ago.

This week's prices range from $3.40 a gallon in Parkersburg to $3.61 in Wheeling.

Nationally, gas prices average $3.49 per gallon, about 3 cents more than the previous week.
