OAK HILL – The Oak Hill Police Department is looking to add some new members to its team this month.

Applications are being accepted for new officers who will work out of the station on Virginia Street.

Those interested need to pass written and physical tests.

Applications can be picked up at Oak Hill PD or at City Hall. Applications must be submitted by this Friday March 14 at 4 p.m.

Chief Michael Whitman says he is looking for candidates who have a desire to serve and enjoy living in Southern West Virginia.

“People who are of course interested in being in the public service and doing that type of work, that want to remain here with us, and live here in Oak Hill.”

The physical agility test is this Saturday, and those who pass will move on to the written test.
