CHARLESTON - Kanawha County Sheriff’s deputies said they have made two more arrests in the investigation into the murder of a Charleston man.
Police arrested Miguel Quinones, 36, of Charleston and Deveron Patterson, 26, of Beckley on Friday and charged with first degree murder in the slaying of Kareem Hunter.
Police said Patterson was arrested near his home, while Quinones was arrested at the Southern Regional Jail, where he was serving time for a violation of a probation charge related to a Fayette County murder conviction.
Hunter was reported missing on Oct. 2. He was last seen in Charleston on Sept. 23, the night police said his friend, Kelsey Legg, lured him to her apartment in Marmet to be kidnapped.
His body was discovered Oct. 30 in Raleigh County.
Legg had been charged with felony murder. She agreed Friday to plead guilty to accessory after the fact, in exchange for identifying the other people involved in Hunter's death.
