BRUSHFORK - Deputies in Mercer County have determined there was a driver at fault in Wednesday's accident that killed two young children on Route-52.

Lt. Joe Parks with the Mercer County Sheriff's Office said Jackson Carter, 40, of Princeton was the driver of a Rav-4 that struck a car driven by Terri A. Wright, also known as Tarra Blankenship.

It is unknown what charges Carter will face due to the "technical" case, Parks told WOAY. The pending charges are up to Prosecutor Scott Ash.

A reconstruction team was on the road Friday investigating the scene. On Wednesday, Wright was transported to a Roanoke hospital for her injuries. Two small children, who were properly restrained, died in her car during the crash.
Another man, Harold Brown of Bramwell, was sent to the hospital for back injuries and later released.
