BECKLEY – Theatre West Virginia is moving forward with its plans to re-open the Clifftop ampitheater.

The theatre's third Town Hall meeting to discuss re-opening plans and budget concerns was held Thursday evening in Mabscott. Officials say they are looking for actors and fundraising.

Opening night is scheduled for June 25 and shows will run throughout the summer.

“Hatfields and McCoys” is the headliner on the ticket so far, but plans to add a Broadway show are in the works.

Theatre spokesman Scott Hill says most of the plans hinge on legislators at the Capitol.

“It's budget time down in Charleston, and we're waiting on the state Senate and House of Delegates to understand how much money we're going be getting or if we're going be getting any money at all.”

The theatre will announce dates for auditions and casting calls in the coming weeks.
