BECKLEY – IHOP’s nation-wide are wrapping up their fundraising for children in need on National Pancake Day.

For every short-stack of pancakes served, IHOP guests are encouraged to donate to the Children's Miracle Network of Hospitals.

Here in West Virginia, those donations will go to the WVU Children's Hospital.

Officials hope to raise $3 million this year across the country. Locally, the IHOP on Harper Road has a goal of $5,000.

Manager Mike Lilley says, “We're getting close there. We're looking for about 2 to 3 thousand today in donations. We’ve had a lot of support from local businesses and local charities that have helped out. So we're hoping to hit that goal.”

Last year IHOP served 4.5 million pancakes on National Pancake Day.
