JODIE - A Fayette County man is in jail following an investigation into allegations of robbery in the Jodie area.

James Matthew Moore was taken into custody Sunday after investigators with the Central West Virginia Task Force obtained a warrant to search his Jodie home. It all stems from a incident last month between Moore and an individual dealing drugs.

The alleged victim named Moore and told Sheriff Kessler he was beaten, threaten to death and robbed at gunpoint. Sheriff Kessler says the victim went to Moore's home to obtain drugs and he was believed to be a snitch. Deputies were able to verify the victim's statement. Moore was arraigned in the Magistrate Court of Fayette County.

He was sent to the Southern Regional Jail on a $5,000 bond.
