BECKLEY - The City of Beckley continues to see changes under its new administration.
Mayor Bill O'Brien has made some cuts all part of his objective to move the city forward. O'Brien says they will no longer need the Emergency Services position along with the Director of Human Rights position. The Raleigh County 911 Center will handle the city's emergencies. Also, a commission is already in to place for human rights issues. O'brien says there won't be any loss of services for the people of Beckley.
"We're continuing to work on the budget. The month of March will end that situation, but the city of Beckley won't feel the reduction of services," said Mayor Bill O'Brien.
O'Brien says there are no foreseen further cuts at this time.
