Man arrested following apparent domestic dispute in Fayette County, authorities say

MEADOW BRIDGE - A Meadow Bridge man is behind bars after reportedly threatening his family with a gun.

Gregory Kent Rhodes, 58, is charged with domestic battery, brandishing a dangerous and deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. 

911 dispatchers said authorities responded to a home in Meadow Bridge around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Captain Jim Sizemore with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office said there were reports the man was threatening his family with a gun. 

Rhodes is in Southern Regional Jail on $7,500 bond.

MEADOW BRIDGE - One man was arrested following an incident Sunday night in Fayette County. 

Authorities responded to a call of shots fired in Meadow Bridge around 8:30 p.m., according to dispatchers.

Capt. Jim Sizemore with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office said there were reports the man was threatening his family with a gun, but no shots were fired.

Deputies at the Danese detachment are handling the case.
