UPDATE: Suspect apprehended following attempted break-in at Beckley restaurant

BECKLEY – A suspect is apprehended for allegedly trying to break-in to a restaurant in Beckley.

Clifton Neely, 26, was arrested after police responded to Young Chow's Chinese Cuisine on Pikeview Drive around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Restaurant managers say their security cameras caught the action.

They say the suspect attempted to use a large boulder to break through a glass door at the front of the building. Managers also found what they believe are the suspect's personal items, including a coat and a hat.

Neely is being charged with conspiracy to commit breaking-and-entering, destruction of property, and public intoxication.

He is being held in Southern Regional Jail on a $15,000 bond.

BECKLEY - A suspect is apprehended for allegedly trying to break-in to a restaurant in Beckley.

Dispatchers said they were alerted just before 4:45 a.m. Wednesday that the alarm at Young Chow’s Chinese Cuisine on Pikeview Drive had been activated. Police arrived to the scene and caught the suspect, according to dispatchers.

No word yet on the suspect’s identity.
