Wanted Wyoming Co. man charged with nighttime burglary and grand larceny

PINEVILLE - A wanted man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a trailer park home in Wyoming County.

Matthew John Daugherty, 24, of Kopperston is charged with nighttime burglary and grand larceny. He also faces a capias charge from Raleigh County.

Deputy J.W. Clemins with the Sheriff’s Office said Daugherty kicked in the door of a home near his trailer in Holler Creek Trailer Park during the early morning hours on January 27. Daugherty entered the home and took several items valued at more than $2,000 dollars in total, according to Clemins. Deputies later recovered the items at his home that night.

Clemins said deputies found Daugherty after receiving a call overnight Friday about a domestic situation involving him. He Is in Southern Regional Jail on $10,000 bond.
