Gas prices rise in W.Va. in past week

CHARLESTON - Average gasoline prices in West Virginia rose nearly five cents in the past week.

The price of a gallon of regular averaged $3.43 cents statewide, according to AAA East Central. That is 26 cents cheaper than a year ago.

Prices range from $3.28 in Huntington to $3.56 in Clarksburg.

Nationally, gas prices average $3.31 this week, up 3 cents from a week ago.
