BECKLEY - A Raleigh County man is pairing wounded veterans with dogs.

David Dail is a veteran with more than 30 years of service and is a board member with the Raleigh county humane society. The Beckley resident has started a program that pairs dogs for adoption with wounded veterans who have returned home from combat.

"i am just so anxious to see the first veteran come by and say 'david i am interested, i would love to have a companion' because i've got the companions for them," Dail said.

Any one interested in volunteering or wish to apply for the program may contact Dail by phoning the Raleigh County Humane Society. Veterans outside of Raleigh County are eligible.
