WELCH - A Canebrake man is arrested
twice in the same night for driving under the influence with drugs.
McDowell County Sheriff Martin West said
a deputy pulled over Harry Glen Perdue for a traffic stop in the Welch area
Friday around 4:05 p.m. Friday. The deputy found Perdue was driving intoxicated
with drugs and found a small amount of marijuana.
Perdue was arrested and arraigned in
front of Magistrate Daniel Mitchell and placed on a $500 bond, according to
West. Perdue paid $50 to the court and was released, but he drove again and was
pulled over once more around 4:45 that same evening.
After being arrested the second time, Perdue
was arraigned before Magistrate Steve Cox and his bond was set at $1,500,
according to West.
