BEAVER – Colleges and universities across the nation are hosting “College Goal Sunday” to help students get enrolled.
Prospective students poured into Concord University this afternoon seeking help in filling out their application for Federal Student Aid.
Workshops were opened to anyone looking for advice on getting into a school for higher education.
Organizers say they expect close to 100 students to come through the Beaver campus to register for their FAFSA.
It doesn't matter where or when students are going to school, officials say they just want to help.
“Completing your FAFSA is the number-one indicator of whether or not you will actually enroll into college, says event coordinator Melissa Gattuso, “We've had studies: up to 9 out of 10 students that complete their FAFSA will actually enroll.”
There were 25 locations opened across the state, but Concord University hosted the largest in West Virginia.
