BECKLEY - Raleigh County residents can vote Saturday on items pertaining to student instructional support and school facility improvements.
The excess levy and facility bond are up for election. Superintendent Jim Brown explained the excess levy is a continuation of the one already in place and provides educational services such as textbook funding. He said the $39 million facility bond would go toward a $72 million dollar capital improvement project. This project would affect 13 schools in total.
The excess levy and facility bond votes will be held Saturday at various voting precincts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
