BECKLEY - Raleigh County residents can vote tomorrow on items pertaining to student instructional support and school facility improvements.
A ‘yes’ on the Educational Levy vote would be a continuation of services already provided to Raleigh County Schools, but the School Bond will be the big vote of the day. The West Virginia School Building Authority has agreed to financially assist in funding the building projects should the Bond pass. The Deputy Clerk said these educational topics have attracted more than twice the number of early voters compared to the last ballot containing the Levy. Officials agreed that it’s important to vote, no matter your personal take, because the outcome will affect all tax payers.
Deputy Clerk, Cecilia Chapman, said, “it affects you in many different ways so people need to come out and make their choice known through their vote.”
Voters are reminded that the School Bond and Levy Votes will be held on Saturday, at various voting precincts from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
