BECKLEY - This Valentine's Day, advocates for the Humane Society of Raleigh County (HSRC) want you to consider giving back to their four-legged friends.

HSRC is holding its first annual Fur Ball at the Black Knight Country Club in Beckley on February 14. It will be a semi-formal event with hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction.

Adoption Counselor Joyce Stover said the shelter is at capacity and their veterinarian bills are high, so she hopes the fundraiser will help with their expenses.

Tickets are $50 a person and Stover said there are still a few left. They can be purchased at HSRC or Harvey's Wig Villa and Beauty Salon.

For more information, call 304-253-8921.
