CHARLESTON - Drivers dished out more cash for gas this week.  The cost of a gallon rose by a penny in the Mountain State.

AAA East Central said the statewide average was $3.38 a gallon.  That's about 29 cents cheaper than at this time last year.  In some parts of Fayette and Raleigh Counties, a gallon was selling for $3.35.

The nation's average was 11 cents cheaper than West Virginia's.  It's recorded at $3.27 this week.
