2nd Annual Wag-Fest Slated for March 29 at Fosters Main Street Tavern

It is time again to raise your paws for a wonderful cause. Operation Underdog will hold its 2nd annual Wag-Fest Benefit at Foster’s Main Street Tavern in uptown Beckley on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 8pm. The two-hour event will consist of live performances by southern West Virginia’s favorite bands, The Boatmen and BlacKing Coal. Foster’s will have fun Wag-Fest themed food and drink specials with proceeds going to help Operation Underdog.

A $5.00 donation cover charge per person will be collected at the door. The annual event is made possible by a special partnership with Foster’s Main Street Tavern as well as promotions by Allen and Banasky Creative Agency.

With a matching contribution from Foster’s owner, last year’s Wag-Fest event raised $1,000 and funds collected were used to help pay for spaying, neutering and medical expenses of homeless and foster animals.

For more information on the event, contact Megan Constantino at 304.222.0222.

About Operation Underdog:
Operation Underdog is a small group of animal advocate volunteers who work with animal shelters in southern West Virginia by arranging fostering, transporting, vetting and getting adoptable animals noticed within the community. The group educates the public on pet ownership responsibilities and offers a once monthly transportation service to a low cost spay and neuter clinic in Barboursville, WV, all to stop the cycle of animal displacement or neglect. Operation Underdog continuously holds fundraisers to assist in fostering, transporting and veterinary expenses.
